Background of Team Management

Ezulwini construction is managed by Ismail Mahomedy who after completing his studies at Durban University of Technology joined Armstrong Construction in 2001 as a Quantity Surveyor. At that stage Armstrong construction was a small construction company operating from a container, today Armstrong Construction is a huge multi million rand construction company which is listed on the ALTx stock exchange under Erbacon Investments Holdings.

 

 During Ismail’s employment at Armstrong he has completed many successful projects which include the Moses Mabhida Stadium facilities & the upgrades of the Durban beach front. Ismail worked directly for Mr Dave Armstrong, under whose mentorship & guidance Ismail grew to become one of the leading quantity surveyors & construction managers in the construction industry. His best accolades are his satisfied clients. Mr Armstrong entrenched his fair business principles and allowed Ismail to grow as Armstrong grew, thus enabling Ismail to acquire the necessary tools to run a successful construction company. During his 10 years at Armstrong Construction Ismail Mahomedy has been able to build a team of subcontractors & employees to undertake projects of any size.

Contractual Styles

Our ability to manage a diversity of project delivery systems to meet the changing market environment is a key part of our risk management strategy. All construction & development projects have similar basic components - design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance. When undertaking construction or services work, Ezulwini operates under a range of contractual styles or delivery systems. These influence the nature of the service provided, the risk profile accepted and the sorts of returns that are generated. Business has changed and our clients' needs have evolved, we shall hone our skills and delivery systems to continually add value and manage risk. While lump sum tender work remains an important element of our business, we also undertake design and construct work, carrying out project management, entering into alliance arrangements and contract negotiation.
